2012 Horribly Hilly Hundreds Lottery

Due to a significant upgrade in the registration platform at active.com, the process for the 2012 Horribly Hilly Hundreds lottery has been revised.

What's New and When:

Entering the lottery for the HHH has been dramatically simplified:
  • Visit active.com to enter all necessary registration information.
  • Enter credit card info when signing up for lottery. CC will be billed only if your name is selected.
  • Select merchandise when signing up for lottery. CC will be billed only if your name is selected.
  • Lottery opens on Monday, February 6, at 10:00 am Central Time, and will remain open through Wednesday, February 8, at 11:59 pm Central Time.
  • Winners will be randomly selected and notified on Monday, February 13.
  • All winners will be automatically entered into the 2012 HHH and your CC will be charged.
The changes that the new platform brings to our lottery process are significant, and will aid in streamlining the procedures for notification and registration.

If your name is selected, you will automatically be registered for the 2012 event!

When will the lottery open?

The lottery opens on Monday, February 6, at 10:00 am Central Time, and will remain open through Wednesday, February 8, at 11:59 pm Central Time.

When will I know if I've been selected to participate in the 2012 Horribly Hilly?

The selection process is electronic and random. All winners and those not selected will be notified on Monday, February 13.

After I am selected as a lottery winner, will I have to revisit active.com to register?

No additional steps are required! You will automatically be registered and costs will be charged on your credit card.

What is the cost of registration?

$75 (plus fee for online registration)

Can groups or teams register together?

No, only single registrations are an option.

What about tandems?

Tandem partners will be recognized and selected together.

I don't want to purchase merchandise if I'm not selected in the lottery. What should I do?

No fees for merchandise will be charged to your account if you're not selected as a lottery winner. If you ARE selected, your CC will be charged for any additional merchandise you opted to purchase.

Will additional registration spots become available to the public after the lottery?

No additional spots will become available. All who are selected in the lottery will automatically be registered.

If I am selected but cannot attend the 2012 HHH, can I transfer my spot to another cyclist??

Yes! You may use the transfer policy to sell your spot. (All transfers must include the required paperwork and be received at HHH headquarters by June 1st. Downloadable transfer form will be posted on the website after completion of the lottery.)
