The Horribly Hilly Hundreds cycling event is the flagship annual fundraiser for the Friends of Blue Mound State Park (FBMSP), a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization. The all-volunteer organization works to enhance and preserve the natural resources while offering activities and projects to improve the visitor experience at Blue Mound State Park. Recent projects for which the FBMSP has contributed significant or all funding include solar panels on the Friends Shelter and the park entrance station, bike repair stand, new playgrounds on top of the mound and in the campground, swimming pool renovation, and building the 2400-sq-ft, ADA-accessible, all-season shelter and learning center. The riders of the HHH deserve thanks for their participation in the event and support of Blue Mound State Park.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison is a
non-profit organization that works towards transportation equity and helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood. Every spring, FB4K gives away 2,000 bikes free of charge to communities of color and low-income families throughout southern Wisconsin. We know that bicycles are lean, green transportation machines and many adults use them as their primary means of transportation. When we’re giving bikes to kids, we always encourage parents and caregivers to take them too. We are on a mission to expand inclusivity and access to bikes far and wide.
